PBS4 team member wins at the Great British Care Awards!

Award winner Bruna Rosa with the host of the Great British Care Awards, Steve Walls

Bruna Rosa, an Enablement Assistant with PBS4, has received the award of Social Care COVID Hero in the Great British Care Awards for the South East region!

Bruna was nominated by her manager, Sara Kirby, for the efforts she went to when a person we support with learning disabilities and mental health needs was infected with Coronavirus. Sara described how the person we support would not let any of her team into her home as she was worried about infecting others, but Bruna stayed outside her house and gave her verbal support, went shopping for things she needed, and reminded her of the importance of isolating whilst infected.

Jonathan Beebee, CEO, said “I am so proud of Bruna and delighted that she has been recognised for this award. Bruna is a great example of the incredible effort and dedication that those supporting people with learning disabilities have shown during this pandemic. She is a fantastic role model to others”.

Members of PBS4 attended the award ceremony to support Bruna, along with her brother and sister
