Enablement Assistants – £9 per hour!

Peter is looking for Support Workers to join his team in Bracknell.

We support people with learning disabilities and autism to live in their own tenancies. We are looking for full time and/or part time staff to join our team of support workers.

Key to being successful in this role is having the right values and attitudes. You will need to be active as Peter loves to go out and has an active life!

Experience is great but not essential. We will provide you with a 5 day paid induction. You will be supported to meet your mandatory training needs via our e-learning package. There will also be access to other development and training opportunities.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting Peter to be as independent as possible, to have the life he wants. Peter enjoys going on walks, feeding the ducks and/or collecting items along the way and would like to go swimming and the local disco club.  Peter does like to stay in and watch videos and/or complete puzzles sometimes.

Peter has autism and a learning disability so routine and structure are important to him. Peter likes to communicate using his PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) to reassure him that things are going to happen and this helps him to not get anxious.

The role involves shift work. This may include days, nights and sleep-ins (sleep-ins are paid at £60/night). Generally we offer long days meaning a full weeks work can be achieved in 3 days. We endeavour to provide rolling rotas so as you know when you are working and when you can have time off.

Peter is looking for his own home in the Bracknell area, so if you are looking for a great new support role in this area please get in touch. To book in for an informal chat please call 023 8098 7462 or to apply please submit your CV.
